What we collect

  • Your email — to send your sign-in link and the six-digit code. There's no password and no profile to fill in. Sign-in runs on Supabase, our authentication and database provider.
  • Your drill answers — the text you type, or that your browser transcribes from speech, so the officer can ask follow-ups and check your answers against each other. These are kept private to your account.
  • Basic usage analytics — which pages and steps were used, so we can tell what works. If you sign in, our analytics tool (PostHog) links that usage — including counts of what a drill flagged, never the text of your answers — to your email so we can see one account's journey. Session recording is switched off in our code. We don't buy or attach third-party profiles to you.
  • Payment records — if you buy the Window Pack or the Document Consistency Audit, a record that you did and when it expires. Your card details never touch VisaRoom (see Payments below).

Your answers

Your drill answers stay private to your account. They are never used to train anything, and you can have them deleted by emailing us. Please don't type passport numbers or document IDs — the drill never needs them.

Speech input is turned into text by your browser. On a device whose speech engine confirms on-device transcription and proves it for that session, processing stays on the device; if that can't be confirmed — including partway through, if the engine's behavior contradicts what it confirmed — the drill says so and falls back to your browser's own speech service rather than silently switching. VisaRoom never receives, records, or stores audio either way — only the resulting text ever reaches us, and typing is always an equal path, on every device.

Your documents

The Document Consistency Audit checks text you confirm — pasted, transcribed from a photo, or read from a PDF. That text is used once, to run your check, and is never stored: what your report keeps is the document types you selected and the specific short lines we flagged, quoted from what you confirmed. Nothing you provide is ever used to train anything.

A photo you add is sent once to our AI provider to be read (Anthropic, listed below), transcribed in memory, and immediately discarded — no file is ever stored; this product has nowhere to keep one. A PDF never leaves your device at all: its text is read in your browser, and only that text is used.

ID numbers aren't needed for the check — leave passport numbers and account numbers out. Your reports stay private to your account, and deleting your account deletes them. You can also ask us to delete them any time by emailing hello@visaroom.app.

Emails we send

Your sign-in links and six-digit codes, your purchase confirmation, and a one-time reminder to drill again a day or two after you start are all delivered through Resend, our email provider. Sign-in itself runs on Supabase, our authentication provider. You can stop the reminder any time by emailing hello@visaroom.app.

Payments & refunds

The Window Pack and the Document Consistency Audit are one-time payments — never subscriptions. Checkout and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They process the payment and your card details; VisaRoom never sees or stores your card.

Changed your mind? Email hello@visaroom.app within 14 days of buying, as long as you haven't completed a drill on your Window Pack — or, for the Document Consistency Audit, haven't run a check yet. No questions, no forms. The money goes back through Lemon Squeezy, usually within a few business days, and your access ends. Once you've completed a paid drill or run a document check you've had what you paid for, so that's the cutoff.

Analytics & cookies

We use PostHog for product analytics — it records which pages and steps were used so we can improve the drill. PostHog sets a single first-party analytics cookie to count visits; there are no advertising or social-media trackers on the site. It's the only analytics tool we run, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who else is involved

To run VisaRoom we rely on a few providers, each for one job:

  • Supabase — sign-in and database.
  • Lemon Squeezy — merchant of record for payments.
  • PostHog — product analytics.
  • Resend — email delivery (sign-in, purchase, and product emails).
  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — runs the officer's questions, the scoring, the consistency checks, and the reading of document photos you add. API data is not used to train models.

What VisaRoom is, and isn’t

VisaRoom is interview rehearsal — like practicing a job interview out loud. It is not legal or immigration advice, and it is not affiliated with any government, embassy, or consulate. It does not advise on documents, eligibility, applications, or strategy — for that, talk to a qualified professional.

No tool can promise what happens at the window, and you should distrust any that says it can. VisaRoom makes no promises about any visa outcome. What it does is let you hear the hard questions, and catch where two of your own answers can't both be true, before the one interview where they count.

We work to keep the tool running, but it may occasionally be unavailable, and we may change or end features over time. Please use it lawfully and honestly — it's a tool for rehearsing your own, truthful answers.
